Attorney Dean Dominick of KBG was elected President of the York County Bar Association (YCBA) for calendar year 2010. Upon taking office at the beginning of this year Dean commented, "I am honored and humbled to be elected President of such an extraordinary organization that does so much, not only for our local attorneys, but for the York community as a whole. I am particularly proud of the fact that I am following in the footsteps of KBG's founder, Elliot Katherman, who has also served as President of the Association."

As President of the YCBA, Dean was invited to attend the Pennsylvania Bar Association Annual Award luncheon to accept the prestigious Louis J. Goffman Award which was presented by the Pennsylvania Bar Foundation to the YCBA and the Pennsylvania Immigration Resource Center for their innovative joint initiative, the Central Pennsylvania Immigration Project. In early 2009, a group of York County Bar Association lawyers met with county bar leadership to seek support and funding to launch a program that would connect the vulnerable foreign national population with pro bono legal representatives. At the same time, the Pennsylvania Immigration Resource Center agreed to help form the Central Pennsylvania Immigration Project as a nonprofit organization.

The Goffman Award, named for a late Pennsylvania Bar Association president, is given annually to an individual and to a group or organization for outstanding pro bono work. The York County Bar Association is the only multiple time Goffman Award winner, having won the award 3 times.
